Equus Equinox

“Equus Equinox” is a mini body of work that uses common mediums, such as acrylic, charcoal, and ink on a toned paper to portray each horse portrait in a unified, yet unique way. The underpainting acts as a base for the drawing to occur with charcoal, making it a perfect keeper of all of the mistakes, smudges, and smears which reflect on how memories have an impact on us in similar ways. Just as a relationship with them can be loving and gentle, a safe space (soft); they can also turn into just simple memories.
